New Indian sandstone patio and oak sleeper retaining walls
Challenge: Create a new patio with a defined border, and retain the soil in the garden beds using oak sleepers. The aim was to improve the garden's functionality while making it look nice.

Solution: To construct the patio, I proposed using a mix of five different sizes of Indian sandstone - this would create a unique pattern. To define the patio area, I suggested using a set of stones around the perimeter to create a border.

For the garden beds, I recommended using oak sleepers to retain the soil. These sleepers would provide a sturdy and natural-looking barrier.

Result: A new patio, beautifully bordered for a defined look while remaining sturdy. The combination of varied stone sizes and natural oak creates an attractive outdoor space, while the sleepers retain the soil in the beds.
